Manju Jois Workshop Video by Giuliano Vecchiè
by Elise Espat

This video, filmed by Giuliano Vecchiè, captures a mysore-style class with Manju Jois during the April 4-6 workshop in Bologna, Italy.

"A workshop with Sri Manju Jois is always a great wonderful opportunity which allows each student to connect with the tradition of yoga, as transmitted by Guruji. As we know, Guruji is a great yoga master who received his knowledge through a lineage which bases its erudition in classical yoga texts like the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.

To practice with Manju means to stay longer in the postures and to try some more challenging asanas. Manju also teaches students to go deeper in his or her breath by simple pranayama techniques. Classes finish with very nice vedic chantings, all of which are very important also to improve your throat health! Q & A is a rare moment where you can share with Manju the experiences and the deep knowledge that he received by his famous father Sri K.Pattabhi Jois. Definitely, an experience to repeat again and again! Thank you Manju!"

Grazie Manju."

Giuliano first met Guruji in Mysore in 1998, when he “decided to follow him and his wonderful yoga practice”. Reflecting on his years of ashtanga practice, he has been lucky to attend and organize many memorable workshops around the world with notable teachers such as Manju Jois and, of course, Guruji (Sri K. Pattabhi Jois). Check out the "Fun Stuff" article from March 2008 for his videos of Kino MacGregor practicing. www.ashtangayogabologna.eu/
