In this two part DVD, certified Ashtanga yoga instructor, Kino MacGregor, makes the mastery of strength available for everybody. Of the DVD, Kino says, “All levels from beginner to advanced can benefit from learning the techniques presented here. Easily applicable to all yoga practitioners, the explanation given will greatly improve your ability to understand and actually do some of yoga’s most challenging strength-based postures”.

The first portion of the upcoming DVD will give background information on Kino and her yoga shala, Miami Life Center, as well as an inspiring yoga demonstration of advanced postures. The second portion will capture the essence of one of her live workshops presenting the fundamentals of strength, stability and power in a clear and down to earth format. Both sections will deliver unique yoga instructions in a compelling narrative structure, complete with spiritual insight and heartfelt wisdom.

Giuliano Vecchiè of Bologna, Italy posted these inspiring practice videos. Giuliano first met Guruji in Mysore in 1998, when he “decided to follow him and his wonderful Yoga practice”. Reflecting on his many years of ashtanga, he has been lucky to attend and organize many memorable workshops around the world with notable teachers such as Kino MacGregor and, of course, Guruji Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.

Giuliano made these videos of Kino last August 2007 at the Triopetra Yoga Retreat in Crete, where he and his wife attended her two week Ashtanga Workshop co-taught by Tim Feldman.

“The workshop was fantastic and the place is so very peaceful, very comfortable (the food is very good too!) and very far from everything that can disturb your practice. Kino MacGregor would practice after the morning lessons and I asked her if I could possibly record her…And there it was! Very simple, isn’t it? The video has been made with a simple video camera without any special extra tools and the practice recorded there is the real personal ‘Kino practice’, which is very, very nice to see. I hope that all the visitors of [livingmysore.com] can watch the videos in order to be inspired by one of the best practice you can see in our times!”
